![]() Peel back your stencil while the paint is still wet and get to making your pom pom tail! To make a pom pom, you can see this post here but it’s so simple. Any acrylic craft paint from the dollar store would do just fine but when I opened up my paint stash and spotted this Fusion Mineral Paints colour, I had to give it a go. Okay, I’ll admit, this paint was not from the dollar store. When you’re painting over a stencil of any kind, make sure to drag your brush from on the stencil to off of it to prevent any paint bleed caused by pushing the paint towards the edge of the stencil. Get into all the little grooves on all sides of the letters and do all the edges of your canvas. Now it’s time to paint it all! Paint it ALLLLL. I glued some letters on with a hot glue gun and did some with double sided tape. With the limited options, I came up with ‘Easter Joy’… which I actually do like, but I wanted to mention this in case you’re planning to switch it up. But that is not the case! If you have a specific phrase in mind, buy two packs. Next, let’s glue on our letters! I assumed I’d have enough letters with one pack to write whatever I like. Cut that out and stick it onto your wood panel. If you don’t want to draw it yourself, I have a printable template in this post (which shows how to make a watercolour silhouette!). The first thing you’ll do is draw your bunny silhouette onto the contact paper. Pencil and scissors (hopefully you don’t need to shop for these P.Drawer/shelf liner or contact paper (kitchen section).Ready for the tutorial? Let’s do it! You’ll need these supplies, which are all from the dollar store. ![]() Today I’m sharing this DIY along with some of my wonderful blogging friends as part of the Seasonal Simplicities series and today is all about Easter DIYs! I love how simple this was to create and how fun it turned out with the pom pom tail but still neutral to suit my decor with that dusty olive coloured paint. This DIY Easter Sign is made from dollar store craft supplies… but looks amazing with modern home decor.Ī couple weeks ago I shared 3 dollar store DIYs to do for spring over on YouTube and I totally snuck this one in there!
